In the News

This summer, History was delighted to host an open letter to the Home Office that called for an urgent review of historical claims made within the UK Immigration ‘Life in the UK’ Test. This letter has now been signed by over 600 academics from institutions across the UK, and has received media attention from across the globe.

You can read the original letter here.

You can also download a detailed report on this issue by Professor Frank Trentmann, which was based on an investigation of ‘Life in the UK’ handbooks. Click here.

Future developments in this campaign will be reported on this page.
